    Abstract
Widespread adoption of BIM is largely dependent on how the industry perceives its genuine benefits. Users who are to adopt BIM need to be encouraged by using empirical evidence. Investors also need to justify their investment of time and budget in BIM by discerning clear proof of its benefits. Research has shown that one of the major hurdles for adopting BIM is the justification of the additional cost and benefits.Widespread adoption of BIM is largely dependent on how the industry perceives its genuine benefits.
