dc.description.abstractPlasmonic quasicrystals with 5-fold rotation symmetry are shown to offer broadband transmission enhancement. The observed linear transmission enhancement leads to broadband second harmonic generation in a wide incident angle range contrary to unpatterned gold film. From the measured linear and harmonic transmitted powers, we estimate the 2nd order susceptibility values in the 760–840 nm range.
