Abstract
In the structure of the title complex, [(C6H5)4P][AuBr2], the [Ph4P]+ cations and the [AuBr2]- anions are located on crystallographic twofold axes with no unusual contacts. The Au-Br distance of the virtually linear anion is 2.3370 (19) Ů
