Eccentric Excursions: Apartments in Wellington

The paper examines two apartment typologies in Wellington, both as departures from the currently ideal housing model. The first wave of high-rise apartments arrived in the early 1940's and were seen as eccentric. A recent wave of eccentric apartments has appeard on the top of existing buildings and these are seen as another example of deviating from the norm through their form moderation influenced by culturally familiar models.
