    Abstract
Drop and pull transport has been widely used in developed countries. The advantage in energy saving and efficiency in transportation for this transport method are widely recognizable. However, there are some obstacles which hinder the popularization of drop and pull transport in China. This paper mainly discusses the difference between China and abroad, such as the diversity of tractors and trailers, vehicle management system, station yard building and theoretical research, operation organization and scheduling. In the end, this paper puts forward to the solution to eliminate these gaps which hinder adoption of this method in China.Drop and pull transport has been widely used in developed countries.
