Common name: Honey blue-eye (E, F).
Conservation status: Vulnerable (Australian Society for Fish Biology's 1991 list of Australian threatened fishes).
Identification: D IV to VI + 7 or 8, A 11, 8 to 1110, P 12 or 13, V 28 or 29. A small (max . 3 .0cm) fish; females plain amber coloured with clear fins ; males orange with first dorsal fin mainly black, anterior bordered with white ; anal and second dorsal fins orange in centre with broad black submarginal band and white outer edge; caudal fin orange with black submarginal band and white border. Eyes are blue.Common name: Honey blue-eye (E, F).
