    Abstract
The paper outlines the problems surrounding Health and Safety issues in the Film and Television production in Australia, with a particular focus on the industry in Queensland. In particular it identifies the lack of any uniform OHS system or practice operating nationally within Australia. It argues for the introduction of a general safety induction Blue Card for the Screen Industry and in addition that accredited courses are introduced within Queensland to support this card. The paper outlines the problems surrounding Health and Safety issues in the Film and Television production in Australia, with a particular focus on the industry in Queensland.
