    Abstract
    Vietnam is located in South-East Asia and borders China, Laos and Cambodia. Vietnam has a population of approximately 89 million, made up of over 50 distinct ethnic groups, dominated by the Kinh group (86.2% of the population). Almost half of the Vietnamese population practise indigenous religions, which include worshipping local spirits, gods and mother goddesses. Other major religions include Buddhism (16.4%) and Christianity (8.2%) (Pew Research Center, 2012).Vietnam is located in South-East Asia and borders China, Laos and Cambodia.
