    Abstract
Queensland is producing exceptional designers. Through the use of technology, students now have the tools to conceptualise, communicate, and create designs that previously required software and hardware not accessible to university students, yet alone schools. This article highlights some of our students' award winning international designs. These stories take you through the design processes and the student's journey to the final solution and fabrication. Design is neither art nor science, but within its creative and logical context, passion is what drives the imaginative minds of our youth to be successful in this field.Queensland is producing exceptional designers.
