Keynote Presentation: Sliding Window

Abstract

There is a crisis taking place within teaching degree programs in Queensland. Education programs are funds denied and must rely more on their resourcefulness and redevelopment of program structures if they are to adequately fund their programs, and make the courses more productive, in-line with industry and appealing. The majority of courses do not teach technology skills to an industry level, but to that of their senior teaching level. Many programs are technology course deficient. The role of a university is to provide a platform for thought and progressive direction for industry, to ensure their needs are realized to meet today's workplace challenges. Technology in education is what's necessary for today's careers.
