    Abstract
The Aurivillius phases of order n = 1, 2, 3 have been investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It is found from these measurements that there are no obvious electronic similarities between these phases and the structurally related HTSC layer compounds. The Aurivillius phases of order n = 1, 2, 3 have been investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
