    Abstract
    This paper discusses the question: what influence will the context of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC) have for the practice employment relations in the Asia-Pacific region in the years ahead? The paper draws comparisons between APEC and other supra-national associations: the European Union (EU), in particular, but to a lesser extent also with the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).This paper discusses the question: what influence will the context of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC) have for the practice employment relations in the Asia-Pacific region in the years ahead?
