Design Rule Schema (DRS) was first developed as a framework for representing various design knowledge. Its application has since been demonstrated in automatic rule generation with given design elements. DRS has been utilised in a number of complicated design problems and its effectiveness and efficiency has been verified in generating design rules and manipulating design knowledge.
