    Abstract
The paper (Part I and Part II together) provides a method for the design and selection of an interlocking and signaling system which is best suited to the operational performance and capacity of a branching point and its tracks. The article deals with: the operating conditions of the branching point, including the operating conditions, which are influenced by a specific track arrangement, the development of an analysis model for the calculation of the performance characteristics of the branching point determined by the existing track system, for example: Minimum distance - Maximum speed - Train in the railway system - the ...

The paper (Part I and Part II together) provides a method for the design and selection of an interlocking and signaling system which is best suited to the operational performance and capacity of a branching point and its tracks. The article deals with: the operating conditions of the branching point, including the operating conditions, which are influenced by a specific track arrangement, the development of an analysis model for the calculation of the performance characteristics of the branching point determined by the existing track system, for example: Minimum distance - Maximum speed - Train in the railway system - the creation of a picture-driven schedule, which shows the train operation graphically the analysis of a railway transport process and clear specifications resp. Selection criteria for the interlocking technology (positioning times) in the transport process - the test of the proposed method using a practical example. The object is to design and / or select a signaling and signaling system for a co-transport process for a given track configuration and its operating situation.
