An examination of the ways in which race and racism have affected and marginalised the life stories, histories and research of 'people of colour'. In this case women of various ages and languages and from varied geographies discuss how race & racism are maintained and perpetuated within their particular educational, work or personal contexts. In this chapter the author presents a 'racialised view' from the cultural margins where identities are created, denied and assumed. Using lived experience seen through the lenses of her own autobiography and the critical theory the author examines multiple theoretical frameworks of indigeneity, race and racism and frankly examines how these frameworks impact her educational practice and her overall approach to 'theory' as life"
