    Abstract
    This chapter provides an overview of developmental or early prevention strategies for crime, antisocial behaviour, and violence in Australia, New Zealand, and internationally, and discusses their effectiveness and potential to be implemented on a large scale in a sustainable fashion. Three flagship programmes are described in detail: the Perry Preschool programme, the Nurse-Family Partnership home visiting programme, and the Communities That Care programme.
