dc.description.abstractThe advancement in DNA microarray technology has generated an unprecedented amount of gene expression data. The challenge now is to analyze and extract useful information from the data. In this chapter, we discuss how gene expression study is performed and how to analyze these data based on pattern recognition methods. The problems we address include microarray image segmentation, missing value imputation, gene expression data clustering and biclustering and spectral analysis of time series data.
