“What’s the Plan?”: CREATE’s social marketing intervention with young people leaving care
CREATE Foundation recently published research into the transitioning-from-care process in Australia (McDowall, 2009). Based on the findings of this Report Card, it was decided to develop a social marketing program ("What's the Plan?") to focus on the failure of the current system to assist young people leaving care in planning for their future. This paper presents a rationale for the design of the program along with discussion of the research on which it is based. Finally, the interventions invoked will be described. It is intended that the outcomes will be reviewed in a follow-up project.
