    Abstract
    The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent statutory agency whose role is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The NDIS aims to provide sustainable long-term care and support for individuals with significant disabilities aged between 0 and 65 years. The scheme replaces fragmented state and territory disability funding with a national approach to disability support in Australia, drawing on an insurance model.
