    Abstract
This chapter draws the book to a logical conclusion by looking back and looking ahead in terms of the evolution of the HR function. It examines the latest empirical trends in emerging digital technologies, HR trends and HR initiatives. Finally, it presents an evidence-based strategic framework of digital HR principles and strategy, in the context of external environmental demands and internal organisational configurations between people, process and technology. This chapter draws the book to a logical conclusion by looking back and looking ahead in terms of the evolution of the HR function.
