It is therefore extremely important that the oral and maxillofacial surgeon has a broad understanding of the functional and organizational structures of the hospital where he/she works. This will reduce treatment time, contributing reduced hospital costs in the treatment of polytrauma patients. The aim of this work is to elucidate the steps involved in the treatment of hospitalized patients in the departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery during multiple trauma care, highlighting its importance in successful treatment and prognosis.
