Dear Editor, Bronchodilator misuse is widespread in the medical profession. The correct therapeutic use of bronchodilators is important both for hospital and primary care physicians. There appear to be two fundamental misconceptions contributing to prescriber habits. The first is under-appreciation of correct indications for bronchodilators. The second is a widely held perception that nebulizer therapy is more efficacious than drug delivery via inhaler devices.
