In response to Marko Vujicic’s excellent guest editorial in the March issue of JADA (“Our Dental Care System Is Stuck: And Here Is What to Do About It”), we wish to draw readers’ attention to a similar analysis of dentistry globally. Just about a year earlier, in March 2017, a group of us met in Colombia to reflect on the situation in that country and to consider that situation in the context of the state of dentistry worldwide.
