dc.description.abstractIn article number 1700197, Nam‐Trung Nguyen and co‐workers describe how continuous‐flow microfluidics can be integrated with digital microfluidics to form an “advanced biosystem” for in vitro fertilization. High‐quality sperm is first sorted in the microchannel. The sorted sperm cells are then introduced into to the oocyte located on a digital microfluidic platform. The platform is controlled by electrodes, which automatically guide the fertilized oocyte to the desired location.
