Big data: Generic roadmaps as global solutions for practice
Abstract
The main of this chapter is to present a forward-thinking approach to the opportunities and challenges for the fields of criminology and criminal justice brought forth by the big data era. Drawing on the business literature, two step-by-step adaptable roadmaps are developed to address some of the main challenges of big data: 1) creating a culture more receptive to data, and 2) implementing a systematic data analytics-driven process in an organisation.
