    Abstract
Karin Schaupp has had an international career as a concert guitarist and she has also trained extensively as an actor and used her skills to create multiple cross-platform projects. Through this process she discovered the immense expressive potential of applying acting techniques to musical performance. In this lecture-recital Karin will share an overview of her projects and the artistic research intrinsic to her process. Karin will also discuss how she applies acting techniques in her teaching at tertiary level and why she feels these techniques have the potential to fill a notable gap in the training of instrumentalists.Karin Schaupp has had an international career as a concert guitarist and she has also trained extensively as an actor and used her skills to create multiple cross-platform projects.
