dc.description.abstractThere have been significant enhancements in the development of roadside technologies (i.e. smart road infrastructure) that have reshaped the way the contemporary road transportation industry works. At the other end of the spectrum, there has also been enormous development of technologies purely aimed at assisting a transportation system’s human participants (pedestrians, passengers, and drivers) toward enhancing their mobility, safety, motion efficiency, and pleasure while being out and about.
