Ongoing high-quality research will always be essential to guide and shape clinical practice. The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), including through its flagship journals, has a duty to lead the endeavour of championing new clinician-scientists. As such, we have been appointed by Australasian Psychiatry as trainee editors and have been tasked with finding new ways of engaging psychiatry trainees in reading and contributing to the journal.
