Chitosan based novel occlusive bioadhesive system for prophylaxis and/or treatment of oral mucositis based on chitosan, suitable surfactants (Cetyl trimethylammonium bromide and Polyquaternium-1 (Polyquad and Propolis ethanolic extract were developed and evaluated in this investigation.
