This paper is a work in progress that explores how CA can contribute to our understanding of hypnosis as a socially organised accomplishment. The data consists of audiovisual recordings and transcriptions of hypnotic sessions that were analysed using CA. In this data session, we will focus on analysing how a hypnotist and a client go about managing interaction, in and across, both ordinary everyday and hypnotic realities. What is fascinating
