    Abstract
    As one of China's fastest growing outbound travel markets, Shanghai has witnessed a steady growth in outbound travel demand in recent years. The worldwide financial crisis, starting in 2007, negatively affected the global economy. Does the global financial crisis affect Shanghai residents' outbound travel too? Using descriptive analysis and factor analysis, this study explored and identified the preferences and influencing factors of Shanghai residents' outbound travel.As one of China's fastest growing outbound travel markets, Shanghai has witnessed a steady growth in outbound travel demand in recent years.
