New media is distinguished by a number of unique characteristics including geographic distance volume of communication, speed.of communication, interactivity, and interconnection and overlap among communication (Crteau & Hoynes, 2003). These characteristics relate directly to sport management and each characteristic has markedly impacted the sport landscape.
