    Abstract
    The New Companies Ordinance is expected to come into effect next February/March 2014. The new law is a total re-write of the old law as most of the sections of the former Cap. 32 have been rendered null and void except for the winding-up and insolvency provisions in Cap. 32. These provisions have been re-titled as the new insolvency laws. Law of Companies in Hong Kong is the first substantive text on company law providing the necessary answers to all questions about the law for anyone who is interested in it.The New Companies Ordinance is expected to come into effect next February/March 2014.
