The conventional procurement and supply chain management is based upon the triple standards of quality, cost and delivery. However, these standards are no more adequate for manufacturers to cope with high level of environmental regulations such as EU RoHS(Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and WEEE(Wastes of Electrical and Electronic Equipment). The important factor, 'environment' is required for additional standard for procurement and supply chain management in manufacturing industry. This paper discusses and proposes the conceptual comparison between green procurement and environmental supply chain management with the OEM case. These concepts may provide Korean manufacturers with environmental solution and productive competitiveness within procurement and supply chain management.
