    Abstract
    The regulation of drug prices is an excellent example of the type of tensions that are emerging in the UK's new system of multi-level governance. Both the benefits and regulatory burden of the Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme (PPRS) are regionally concentrated.However,those regional concentrations are not coterminous.The PPRS as an industrial policy supports jobs primarily in the south east and east of England. However,Wales (along with Scotland and Northern Ireland) bears a relatively greater share of the regulatory burden of the PPRS by virtue of prescribing more medicines. La réglementation des prix des médicaments est un excellent exemple du type de tensions qui commencent à se faire jour dans le nouveau système britannique d'administration à plusieurs niveaux. Les bénéfices, de même que la tâche de régulation du Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme (PPRS) (programme de régulation des prix pharmaceutiques) sont centrés sur une région. Cependant, ces concentrations régionales ne sont pas voisines. Le PPRS en tant que politique industrielle soutient les emplois principalement dans le sud-est et l'est de l'Angleterre. La regulación del precio de las drogas es un buen ejemplo del tipo de tensiones que están surgiendo en el nuevo sistema de gobierno multi-nivel en el Reino Unido.Los beneficios y la carga de regulación del Plan de Regulación del Precio Farmacéutico (PPRS) se concentran a nivel regional. Sin embargo, esas concentraciones regionales no tienen un borde común. El PPRS como política industrial apoya los trabajos en el sureste y este de Inglaterra. Sin embargo, Gales (junto con Escocia e Irlanda del Norte) tienen una mayor participación del borde de regulación del PPRS por recetar más medicinas. El potencial para la autonomía de Gales en esta área se considera en términos de obligaciones económicas, administrativas y políticas.
