    Abstract
This researched blog adopts key principles from the Buddhist Eightfold Path and suggests them as an ethical framework for bloggers and citizen journalists. It involves the creative integration of Eastern ethical principles and applied journalism ethics into a groundbreaking new approach called 'mindful journalism' - in this case 'mindful blogging'. Referenced and hyperlinked showing richness of research, but with the target of social media/ethical literacy for the lay blogger or citizen journalist embarking upon election reportage for a new media startup. This researched blog adopts key principles from the Buddhist Eightfold Path and suggests them as an ethical framework for bloggers and citizen journalists.
