    Abstract
    The article offers the author's view on the case study of attempted suicide which shows the peculiarities and difference in suicidal behavior in China. The author states that the study reports that suicide trends in the rural and metropolitan areas in China have been declining while the suicidal behavior in countryside maintained its patterns and closely aligned with traditional values.
