Abstract

There is much written about the creative process from practical "how to" screenwriting guides to psychological treatises about "flow". But how do we translate theory into practice and "teach" our students to create for the digital world? And how do we teach them to take a great idea and make it into a story?

This paper will consider both theory and practice to distill the essential elements of enabling the creative process by tapping into a deep knowledge of craft, research, inspiration, self-knowledge and risk taking.
