This paper identifies three trends in outdoor tourism in Africa. The first is the gradual increase in luxury and service quality. The second is the addition of new wilderness activities and experiences. The third is the addition of activities that are unrelated to wildlife watching (e.g., fitness programmes) and allow guests on holiday to continue aspects of their lifestyle at home. This paper identifies three trends in outdoor tourism in Africa.
