    Abstract
The world is characterised bya mosaic of borders. They demarcate differences in space and enable governments to make sense of that space and organise human behaviour and movement (Popescu 2013). Yet, they also create political, economic, social and cultural divisions. It is critical to overcome these divisions to deal with some of the major challenges, such as climate change, we are faced with this centurary.
