    Abstract
    This book chapter presents the field of interaction analysis in adult and vocational education and training. It explains the main concepts and theoretical references associated with such an approach and provides a literature review about key findings in the domain of interaction analysis applied to adult and vocational education. The chapter also provides empirical illustrations about how interaction analysis, based on audio-video recordings and fine-grained transcripts, can inform processes of teaching and training in relation to professional practice.
