Surgical techniques for the conduct of hip arthroscopy in the evaluation and treatment of complications after hip resurfacing arthroplasty are described. Anterior capsular debridement and acetabular rim osteoplasty procedures may provide therapeutic benefit for both pain reduction and improved range of motion. Hip arthroscopy also enables de collection of diagnostic quality biopsy samples to assist in further management where required. At our institution, we have found arthroscopic intervention useful in the evaluation and management of selected patients after hip resurfacing arthroplasty.Surgical techniques for the conduct of hip arthroscopy in the evaluation and treatment of complications after hip resurfacing arthroplasty are described.
