This article explores (1) how to design multimedia learning activities in Powerpoint for the teaching of Spanish as a second language (SSL) and (2) how to create opportunities for interaction based on the key concepts emotion-cognition. It is the strategies that allow us to develop an effective design that includes emotional components (Mora 2013: 174-175 and Ibarrola 2013). It focuses on the use of certain neurocognitive principles and affective processes as a fundamental reference point for the development of visual materials. This article explores (1) how to design multimedia learning activities in Powerpoint for the teaching of Spanish as a second language (SSL) and (2) how to create opportunities for interaction based on the key concepts emotion-cognition.
