This article argues that the significant reversal of fortune for the Queensland Liberal National Party (LNP) during its last term in government (2012-2015) was largely due to the political leadership of the Queensland Premier, Campbell Newman, whose leadership style exemplifies the theories of ‘Strong Leadership’.
