Abstract

The Second South American Conference on the Environment is that rare exercise that has no confidential information. Case material can be distributed a week prior to class or just prior to the negotiation. The exercise is based on an analysis conducted by Howard Raiffa (1982), but also draws on the fundamental nature of the multilateral conference (Crump 2013; Crump and Susskind 2008). This exercise produces the most robust discussion, and some groups actually become mentally exhausted from 40 minutes of intense complexity.
