Abstract

Corresponding to the reader command, a tag will transmit its internal state into one of the seven responses: Ready, Arbitrate, Reply, Acknowledged, Open, Secured, or Killed. A tag is able to support as many as four simultaneous sessions, which allows a tag to associate a separate and inventoried flag to each reader present in the environment. This flag will allow different readers to share a common population of tags, through time-division sharing.
