Abstract

This essay discusses U.S. photographer Gregory Crewdson's show 'In a Lonely Place', focusing on how it comments, in a similar manner to literary, cinematic and televisual gothic, on contemporary social and cultural fears and anxieties--in this case, particularly those fears and anxieties related to the GFC.
