Abstract

A 32 year old woman, who was 23 weeks into her first pregnancy, presented to an emergency department with 12 h of gradual onset right lower quadrant abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. The patient had no other past medical or surgical history and was otherwise experiencing an uneventful pregnancy.
