Abstract
This chapter includes a narration about the most recent overthrow of Sheikh Hasina, former Prime Minister, Government of Bangladesh, during her consecutive fourth term 2024-2029. She ruled the nation since 2009. In the meantime, the world knows well that PM Sheikh Hasina has fled to India on 5 August 2024 and seeking temporary asylum in India. At the time of writing this chapter in August 2024, she has been residing in Delhi. Immediately after she left for India, the angry mob in Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh, ransacked her official residence called Ganah Bhaban (People’s Place) at midday on 5 August 2024. However, this sudden uprising remains significant too for political stability in the years to come. This student-people-led uprising against the government is almost the same as the ‘Arab Spring’ in the Middle Eastern Muslim nations in 2011. Let us remind the readers with a brief statement on the Arab Spring first with a view to present how similar the South Asian monsoon of 2024 is for the readers. Before attempting to discuss the South Asia monsoon, let us take a look a brief story of the Arab Spring upfront. We would like to add that the source of the Arab Spring document is a shorter version of a piece published in 2011 (Hoyel 2016).
