The paper outlines the problems surrounding Health and Safety issues in the Film and Television production in Australia, with a particular focus on the industry in Queensland. In particular it identifies the lack of any uniform OHS system or practice operating nationally within Australia. It argues for the introduction of a general safety induction Blue Card for the Screen Industry and in addition that accredited courses are introduced within Queensland to support this card.
